Air Sealant Gun
How do I remove and replace silicon sealant from around the bath.?
The sealant there now is about 15 years old and water seeps past it staining the sealing underneath. Is it important to remove all traces of of the silicon before I renew and what is the best way to go about this?
Would a hot air gun be any help?
Scrape the old stuff off with a knife or even a special tool. The tool can hep shape the new silicone.
There are gels that you can apply to silicone, which cause it to swell up after a few hours and lose contact with the bath etc.
