AViation Manual

where can I get free e books and printed books etc related Aircraft, aviation,Air pilot manuals&Aircraft Eng?
I want to be an aircraft Eng and pilot,I like to get free ebooks and free printed matirials related that,
pretty much any book created by the FAA can be found for free on the FAA's website.
This includes the Pilot's handbook of aeronautical knowledge, Airplane flying handbook, Instrument flying handbook, AIM and so on... There's also aviation weather books in the form of ACs
the FAA webside does not contain however any information on a specific aircraft like an information manual.
The air safety foundation also has decent handouts on things including safe landings and takeoffs.

Labor Relations in the Aviation and Aerospace Industries (Hardcover) $200.58 In this textbook designed for courses on aviation labor relations, the authors-experts with many years of experience in these sectors-examine and evaluate the labor process for all aspects of the aviation and aerospace industries, including aerospace manufacturing, airlines, general aviation, federal and state administrative agencies, and public airports.Divided into three parts-Public Policy and Labor Law; Principles, Practices and Procedures in Collective Bargaining and Dispute Resolution; and the Changing Labor Relations Environment-the book provides an overview of the industries and the development of US labor law and policy, then explores the statutory, regulatory, and case laws applicable to each industry segment before concluding with an examination of current and developing issues and trends. The authors present the evolution of aviation and aerospace labor laws, going as far back as the early nineteenth century to lay the historical foundation, and cover the development and main features of the principal statutes governing labor relations in the United States today, the Railway Labor Act, the National Labor Relations Act, and the Civil Service Reform Act. They also investigate the growth of the industries and their impact on labor relations, as well as the current issues and challenges facing management and labor in each segment of this dynamic, sometimes volatile, business and their implications for collective bargaining. Twenty case studies not only illuminate practical applications of such fundamental concepts as unfair labor practices and unions` duty of fair representation but also enliven the subject, preparing the reader to use the concepts in real-world decision making. A study guide with review questions, online assignments, supplemental readings, and exercises is available for students. For those teachers using the textbook in their courses, there is an instructor`s manual with additional resources for developing cou |

Learn to Fly : Air Flight School Manual for Pilot Training
Need a good entry level DSLR and lens set for <$650?
I'm doing aviation photography(pictures of airplanes) and trying to get into general photography, and my current point and shoot(Sony Cybershot DSC-W80) is definitely not cutting it. My complaints about it are high noise, lack of detailed manual settings, and horrible metering.
I'm not cropping much, so the 6MP is fine. I'm currently considering the following:
Nikon D40 w/18-55mm VR kit lens
Nikon 55-200mm VR lens
2GB SD card
Adds up to $635 or so.
The 18-55 is mainly for landscape and general photography, and the 55-200 is for planespotting.
My friend uses non AF-S Nikon lenses though(he uses an N80 and D70) and I might consider getting a D50 or D70 for a little more so that I could borrow his lenses and use them with AF.
I'm planning on getting this around mid-June.
Any thoughts?
I might consider a D40x/D60, but I don't need the extra 4MP and sensor size is the same, so noise should be worse.
Get the regular D-40, not the D-40X. Great choice. If you can find a decent D-50, I'd go with that instead (I am biased), as you won't be subject to the lens motor restrictions of the D-40. Although I really like the D-40, I can't get used to it...it is very tiny, especially when compared to my old Nikon Fs.
Look at: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d40.htm
Also, check out his whole site: www.kenrockwell.com
I have a D-50 with that lens (and others) and I love it. I also have the 50mm/f 1.8D, and the normal kit lens. Also, the SD-600 SpeedLight, 70-300mm VR, and Tokina 12-17mm super-wide.
Just as NewEgg is the best in computers for price and service, B&H Photo is the gold standard in the camera biz.
www.bhphoto.com
EDIT: Yup, same sensor. more pixels, much more noise.
