my 95 cavalier it runs fine but myt dash lights come on and go out?

my air bag light will come on every now and again my abs light will to but my check engine doesnt my e brake will even when its not pulled but after i give it gas they all go out all except the green one that looks like my brights but its not dont know what that light is my alternator is good i replaced the plug but when i turn my heat on my lights dim and then they come back and when i turn my heat on when the car is running then all my lights will come on and go out its like i am losing power somwhere but i changed the battery and i also changed it to a top mount so i dont know what it is CAN U HELP ME PLEASE

Get your alternator checked. Check your connections and terminals for corrosion and make sure all connections are tight. You could also have a short look for broken wires, or for bare wires touching.

2000 Mercury Cougar ~ Over heating problem?

Help ! My 2000 Mercury Cougar is still heating up. I fixed the thermostat, water pump, & radiator + the hoses. Also, I did the altornator 3 times, the mountor mount. THe engine light is on and they say it's because the EGR flow is off can this cause the heating up. I can't put the AC on because it throws out hot air.
My fans are working fine & I checked the free-on & compresor today and that is fine.
As for the thermostate ~ it was done twice. It's facing out. The smaller round tip facing to the right hand side.
Can it be a crackd engine? head? or block?
