Hamilton Standard Propeller Anyone know what Make/Model propeller they used on a Pratt & Whitney "WASP"?
Working some miscellaneous things on a B-24 Liberator, does anyone happen to know which propeller they used on this old WWII bomber? Hamilton Standard maybe??
just a little more info, Im interested in what they put on the Ford models that were built in Detroit, they used a 1200 Hp 18 Cyl Wasp engine. They were hydraulic so i assume its Hamilton Standard..
Does a 6359A-18 sound about right?
The first versions of the B-24 used Curtiss-Electric propellers, but the majority of them and a lot of other aircraft used the Hamilton Standard Hydromatic. The B-24 was the first to use the Hydromatic.
The Wasp engine came in a huge range of models with horsepower ranging from 600 to 1650. If I remember correctly from A&P school, the twin Wasps had a 23E50 prop shaft to fit the hub, but that was many years ago.
