NAV Comm
whats up with the canadian forces recruiting right now?
I just called the cfrc and the reserve recruiting does not start until april, if positions are even availabe, and the only trades available for the regulars right now are in the navy and are tech jobs( nav comm, sonar operator etc). are all the army infantry jobs full or what, and the navy does not seem to be hiring boatswain right now. It seems like the only trades anyone can apply for right now are working on electronics for the reg and res navy but no army positions, no other navy positions. I was told only 8 trades are open and there almost all navy working on electronics. so whats up, i thought there would be more positions open especially in the regulars or combat arms trades?
Currently the Canadian Forces are getting far more volunteers than they need for Combat Arms roles. Once they fill the quota of volunteers for these roles they won't recruit anymore for that role until more training positions become available. The trades they are recruiting in now are those where they currently have or anticipate shortages.

How to get an in flight weather briefing?
While flying, how do you contact the briefer for a weather update along the en-route flight path.I think your spose to tune into the VOR frequency related to a FSS, but then it gets unclear to me. Consider having COMM 1 and 2 and a NAV 1 and 2, I fly a piper Archer 2. If there is any other ways to get in flight weather update let me know about that as well thanks!
Yes and ATIS does show weather, but just in the terminal area of the airport, I want the weather along the flight Path.
