Air Superiority Question?

Right now the U.S. have a fighter called the F-22 Raptor. I dont need to go into specifics if you know the planes capabilites and features. If you know what it can do then you should know thats it is also the U.S. top air superiority fighter. Its to replace the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon (Viper) as the dominant fighter in all services. The only other modern fighter remaing would be the F-18 Hornet and Super Hornet classes, mainly for the use of the Navy. Now not only is it supposed to be the best fighter the U.S. has but its also the best fighter in the world. With only one other fighter that has the same capabilities or maybe even better ones. That one would be the F-35 Lighting II. Otherwise know as the JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) Personally i think the Raptor is still better. The only thing that the Lightining has going is the Vertical Takeoff ability wich gives it superb aerobatic abilitys. Now the Russians have developed a fighter named SU-37 Terminator. Is it better?

Well, you're right on all counts except two, the F-35 isn't going to top the raptor in capabilities and it's not supposed to. Second thing is that the F-22 is only meant to replace the 15. The 35 is the replacement for the 16 and the 18.

And yes, the 22 will kick the beans out of the SU-37 in every regard. Ultimately, top speed doesn't mean as much these days as manueverability, radar suites, weapon systems, stealth capability, and countermeasures. Frankly, Russia has fallen so far behind us that, as it stands, their GDP can't catch them back up to us for a long time coming.

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Escuadrilla Acrob tica Cruz del Sur ( Southern Cross Aerobatic Squad ) is the aerobatic demonstration squadron for the Argentine Air Force (FAA). The squadron flies 7 Sukhoi Su29AR aerobatic aircraft. It is composed of seven active FAA officers. The squadron is part of the 4th aerial division of the FAA, located in the city of Mendoza. The Sukhoi Su29 is a Russian twoseat sports aerobatics aircraft with a 268 kW (360 hp) radial engine. It was designed based on the Su26 aircraft and inherited most design and technical features of its predecessor. Due to wide use of composite materials, which share up to 60 of the Su29 aircraft structure, the empty weight is increased by only 50 kg (110 lb) as compared to the Su26 aircraft empty weight. The Su29 is ideal for the initial pilot aerobatics education, flight training and participation of pilots in aerobatics competitions and air shows, as well as for maintaining flight skills of military and civil pilots. Extreme Detail Art-Tech 2.4Ghz F4U Corsair 3D Aerobatic Radio Remote Control Electric RC US Navy Warbird Airplane RTF w/ Brushless Motor, ESC & Li-Po Battery

The American fighter F4U Corsair was an American navy fighter aircraft that entered service with Allied air forces in World War II and the Korean War. During World War II, it was the fighter the Japanese feared the most. The U.S. Navy counted an 11:1 kill ratio for every F4U shot down. This beautiful 2.4Ghz F4U Corsair is designed for the hobby enthusiast and offers the characteristics of crash resistance, unique scale appearance and first-class flight performance. Based on its full-scale counterpart, this American fighter aircraft model has a high roll rate and even can do the loops, inverted flights, and other aerobatic moves. Even a beginner can easily setup and stably fly this model. It is also made as a highly maneuverable model for intermediate to expert pilot. This model includes a 4 channel radio transmitter, a speed controller, electric out runner brushless motor, and 4 micro electric servos. Also, The airplane comes completely pre-painted and decorated, the servos and electronics are pre-installed, and the brushless out runner motor and speed control are installed and ready for use. You will definitely enjoy flying this model. Expert Review Radio Installation and Completion The radio is installed. I had to check the movement of the servos. There is no expo or dual rate on the transmitter which I thought was a problem. I investigated the rather active build thread on the Corsair, and the good folks there told me the plane flew like a pussycat. I was concerned because the rudder has a lot of movement. Basically, you get it as the manufacturer designed it. You can't really adjust anything other than the ailerons but there is no need to do so. Flying I was concerned the control surface of the rudder moved too much, and if this plane had any stall tendencies I would be in trouble if I could not control my left thumb. Well, was I ever wrong. This plane does fly like a pussycat. Take a look at the wing loading at only 12.91 oz./ sq. ft., and you basically have a trainer in Corsair clothing. It was a blast with plenty of power and a motor that was almost silent. I loved the style and grace of the Corsair, and I enjoyed watching the plane instead of being worried I was going to get into trouble. Basics I put the plane through just about every maneuver, and it rose to the occasion. Most importantly, it was controllable, and I found nothing that bothered me. I can now see why so many in the thread above have become fans of this plane. They do everything to it including retracts, scale components, paint and install a pilot since they know this plane will last a while. Taking Off and Landing Takeoffs were not what I expected. Little prop torque was noticed. I applied gentle throttle, and that moved the Corsair easily down the runway. There is not a lot of room between the prop and the ground as the tail rises, but there never was in the original either. The takeoffs are smooth and under control. Landings are where the Corsair really shines. No stall

  1. Sara C Says:

The name of Blue Angels makes me think of the USA… In fact the database says that it is the US Navy Aerobatic Team, while the Thunderbirds are the US Air Force Team. Instead the Blue Impulse is the Japanese Demonstration Team…
