NAVy Marines

navy..? marines..........?

which one is easier to get into? like with a -$1000 credit card balance.. that is in collections as well.. i talked to a navy recruit online he said that i would have to do a financial check in person so i was just curious on what to do.. if i should even attempt getting into the navy or marines with that balance..

is it possible to further your martial arts in the marines or navy?

i want to become a blackbelt and im not sure if you can do it while in the marines or navy.

In the Marines, yes. I've heard of a martial arts program recently introduced to the Corps, with its own set of belt rankings. If I recall correctly, the founder took techniques/idea from several popular arts such as karate and judo and... kinda... made up his own martial art. I don't think it's so much for battlefield effectiveness (I'm guessing that very little of an average soldier's combat experience will be hand-to-hand) as it is for morale boost. I could be wrong, though. You can read more for yourself here:

The Army does train its recruits in grappling, especially MPs (military police). I don't know if they have a specific program/system in mind, though.

I'm not too sure about the Navy. Perhaps you can study a martial art in your free time while in the military (probably not during boot camp, but after that, you should be able to study independently, barring deployment/any other unforeseen circumstances).

If you want to pursue martial arts as a direct/significant part of your military training, I'd suggest the Marines.
