How do you connect a headset to a telephone?

I have an at home customer service job that requires a corded landline phone and noise canceling headset. No wireless, VoIP, Skype, cell phone, etc allowed.

I have a USB headset and a regular old telephone, but no way to connect the two together.

1) Is there a product out there that connects USBs to telephone jacks?
The MagicJack - USB Phone Jack is the complete opposite of what I need. With that you insert a telephone line into it and then insert it into a USB. I need one that you insert a USB into and then insert it into a telephone jack.

2) If there's no product that currently does this, is there a telephone that allows you to connect a USB headset to it?

3) If there's no product for either of my above questions, is there a headset that can connect into a regular telephone jack?

I have an Avaya corded headset and my wife has a Plantronics. They plug into an AC power source and the input is from the phone to the unit where the receiver cord attaches. You then attach the receiver to the output side of the control box.
This allows you to use either the headset or the receiver.
