Calling all PILOTS/any one attended/attending training schools e.g Cabair and oxford aviation and got a ATPL?

I would love to know from all airline pilots
a) how did you become an airline pilot, eg highers taken, A levels, how your career progressed.
b) If you went to an airline training place like 'cabair' or 'oxford aviation' of 'flight training europe' what it was like and what are the chances of bing sponsered with an airline whilst you are there.
3) if they sponser you do they pay most of the cost, or do they like 'lend' you it untill you pay them back in future years.. etc

They get a cut from the bank lending it to you. Then they get it all from you. They do pretty well on the deal. Most folks do get hired. Right now is a good time to get into the industry, as a large fraction of the pilots are approaching the mandatory retirement.

Is Jacksonville University a good school to go to to get the aviation management and flight operations degree?

Is Jacksonville University a good school to go to to get the aviation management and flight operations degree with an ultimate goal of flying for Delta, Southwest USAir as a Captain/Pilot In Command?

This doesn't really relate to Jacksonville University but I think it may be helpful...

A degree alone is not enough in my opinion to become a commercial pilot. Like with most careers, there is a lot of competition. Most commercial jet pilots have been in the US Air Force for a number of years, but that's after they had their private, small prop plane licenses. Then with that experience they took exams to become commercial pilots.

This is from what I read, it may not be 100% true so correct me if I am wrong. Although it may seem as though it requires a lot of training and experience to become a commercial pilot, I think it's one of the most rewarding and pleasurable careers out there.
