95 Nissan Maxima w/ power windows that dont roll up or down, but the motor still works. Drum and cable set!?

I have a 95 nissan maxima where the power windows do not work. The switch and the motor still work but the electric motor doesnt turn the drum to roll the window up or down. I know the motor is fine i just think something is caught somewhere. The cable looks fine as well. The motor makes a feeble attempt to turn the drum just barely but stops there. The window is still on its track and it rolls up and down freely BY HAND. Its just the motor wont turn the reel. Any ideas? any help would be greatly appreciate.

Even though you hear the motor turning it may be a bind somewhere in it. Or the motor may be too weak to move the window

What is a reel and cable assembly?

I should clarify...this is one of 5 types of cable reel that I came across and am looking for more information about.

it could be anything ranging from the size of a fishing rod even smaller with steel cable with hooks or other accessories
to microelectronics to large telephone cables...or cables to support a bridge

a cable is a bunch of strands, could be for fabric, could be for electronics...
reel is a spool of it, can be from very small to very large.
