Is a ethernet cord better then wireless for xbox live?

I use a ethernet cord hooked up to a router upstairs. My lag is horrible and i can barly move or play with my friends and its not fun that way. the cord is about 100 feet and slighty bent since it was coiled up for about a year. i have a gift card for target and im wondering if a wireless one would be better and make me not lagg?

from what i understand with xbox and ethernet cords, you cant use any cord over 50 ft. SO the best thing to do would be to get 2 50ft cables, and put something like a router in between them. dont use a coupler because it weakens the signal, such as using the 100 ft cord.
What the router does is it boosts the signal, so you can keep a good connection.
dont use a wireless adaptor though, or else you can say bye to lag, and hello to uber lag

What is the word used for when two words are spelled the same but sound different?

I know synonyms, antonyms, and homophones, but what is it when to words are spelled the same but sound different? For example, lead (follow the leader) and lead (lead poisoning) or read (present tense) and read (past tense) or wind (blowing air) and wind (coil up a cord).
I am talking about words that are spelled the same but have DIFFERENT pronounciations. " I will read the book tomorrow" and "I read the book yesterday" read and read are spelled the same but SOUND different.
