SUB AND AMP QUESTION PLEASE HELP?
I have this amp zx1000.1 kicker http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/5508793/vpcsid its runs at a 2 ohm should i get 2 cvr 12 inch( 2ohms or 4 ohms ) ??????? diagram would be awesome
SO MY QUESTION IS SHOULD I GET 2 OHM SUBS OR 4 OHMS SUBS ?????
People are saying get 4 ohm subs because they don't know CVRs are dual coiled subs. You need a 2 ohm load and two SINGLE coil 4 ohm subs in parallel would do it, however since the CVRs are DUAL coil you need the 2 ohm wired as I have shown you to get the same 2 ohm load to the amp.

ok well it says min 1.75 cu. ft. or 49.6 L and max 2.25 cu. ft. or 63.7 L...so since i have 2...double it which will make it min between min 3.5 cu. ft max 4.5 cu ft....right? so this box will work?
You have to read the specs on your subs, when fitting a box you need match the volume of air, for example this sub,
Kicker 08S12L72
12" 1500W Dual 2-Ohm Subwoofer
will read like this,
# Sealed box volume: 0.88-2.0 cubic feet
# Ported box volume: 1.75-3.25 cu. ft.
you have to find or build a box to those specs, or they could blow.
to much or to little air means to much, or to little air for the sub to push/pull, causing it to overheat and undo strain.
Go look ant you subs and find min-max cubic feet of air they can handle, then match them to these specs on the box you provided in your link.
