um, the best for your hearing is prob In-ear earphones. I mean, you can still damage your earphones for playing them too loud, but due to the fact taht In-Ear earphones are like earplugs and block out most of the noise around you, you don't have to play your music as loud compared to normal earbuds. MOre comfortable? that's up to personal preference, i like In-Ear Earphones more, to me they're most comfortable, i have Shure Se530's and they go around my ear and sit over the ear and the tip goes inside my ear and plays music like that, and i can barely feel them there after a little while.
