Hydraulics Instruments

what kind of business can i open as an engineer?
im deciding my field atm between electronic engg. or electrical engg. or mechanical engg.
most of the top companies in the world are majorly electronics (microsoft, apple, intel, national instruments)
but i want to go into mechanical engg.
i really wanna become a mechanical engg. cuz topics like hydraulics, thermodynamics fit in my head perfectly.
but still once i become experienced i wud like to open my own engineering firm which has its slot in the stock market
so which engineering has more business scope in it??
First, I know many MEs that are also good at programming computers. You should learn that skill too.
I would suggest robotics, automation, medical instruments. These are all growth fields that a ME can easily break into.

River Hydraulics $71.28 This manual presents the techniques and procedures that are used to investigate and resolve river engineering and analysis issues and the associated data requirements. It also provides guidance for the selection of appropriate methods to be used for planning and conducting the studies. Documented herein are past experiences that provide valuable information for detecting and avoiding problems in planning, performing, and reporting future studies. The resolution of river hydraulics issues always requires prediction of one or more flow parameters; be it stage (i.e., water surface elevation), velocity, or rate of sediment transport. This manual presents pragmatic methods for obtaining data and performing the necessary computations; it also provides guidance for determining the components of various types of studies. Author: U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 188 Publication Date: 2004/12/01 Language: English Dimensions: 11.00 x 8.25 x 0.39 inches |

Elementary Hydraulics (Hardcover) $311.26 Elementary Hydraulics is written for the undergraduate level and contains material to appeal to a diversified class of students. The book, divided into three parts, blends fluid mechanics, hydraulic science, and hydraulics engineering. The first part draws upon fluid mechanics and summarizes the concepts deemed essential to the teaching of hydraulics. The second part builds on the first and discusses the science of hydraulics. The third looks at the engineering practice of hydraulics and illustrates practical applications of the material covered in the text. To further aid the student, in addition to these applications, the text contains a number of numerical problems and a reading aid at the end of each chapter. |
