Lycoming Engine

The small "aircraft" with no wings. Is this at all wise ?
Hi Folks,
You may of noticed from previous Q's that a daft group of us are assembling Piper J3 Cub.
Well, I still ponder on the stupidity of it.
Would you agree that although most of the main airframe is welded nicely, and the Lycoming 110 engine is bolted in, with fuel lines and rudder, but no wings yet, and no skin to the fusilage, etc it was wise of me to fast taxi it down the bumpy grass strip, and stop and get off to pull the tail around and fast taxi back to the barn ?
I don't think that is was wise, but the more adventurous of us may agree that it should be done in the interests of fun
Any notions ?
Be patient grasshopper. cover the plane, get it ready to fly before you fast taxi it.
you are setting your self up for a ground loop and possible/probable damage to the plane and engine. A prop strike requires a engine teardown and in most cases, a rebuild.
Are you willing to risk it for 15 seconds of "fun"????

The Lycoming XR7755 was the largest pistondriven aircraft engine ever produced; with 36 cylinders totaling about 7,750 in (127 L) of displacement and a power output of 5,000 horsepower (3,700 kilowatts). Which Lycoming Fuel Pump replaces (Part # 20574) from a Franklin 6A-350-C1 engine?
Which Lycoming Fuel Pump replaces (Part # 20574) from a Franklin 6A-350-C1 engine? The engine was built in 1972. Variable Pitch Prop. 220hp.
I found out that:
A rep at Lycoming said it sounds like an AC part number. The spring and pushrod may be like a pulsating automotive pump.
Lycoming bought AC, then sold AC to someone else (possibly Zenith) Kelly Aerospace may own it now.
Need more specs to find out if it is compatible with a Lycoming pump (size, arm length, pressure output).
Stay tuned.
I am not an A&P, so there is likelihood that I am incorrect, but I dont think there is one. Apples and Oranges as the saying goes.
