Rc Plane SPAD PIPER CUB
What was the Spad XIII famous for, and what was it used for during combat and when was it made?
Well, you should (or could) ask this in the aviation section, but...
The SPAD XIII was a fighter plane produced during the later stages of the Great War, known today as World War One. (1914-1918.) It was a follow up to the Spad VII, with a more powerful Hispano-Suiza engine capable of better performance and slightly longer range. As an air superiority fighter, it's contemparies were the British SE-5A, Sopwith Camel, and Bristol F2B; the French Neuport 17 & 28, and the German Fokker D-VII and D-VIII, and later variants of the German Albatross.
It was flown by most of the French and American aces, the latter including Eddie Rickenbaker, America's highest scoring WWI ace, with some 28 kills.
