Engine swap in 96 Gmc jimmy 4x4 4.3 to 5.7 355c.i?

I have a 96 jimmy that i have to overhaul the 4.3 vortex engine and i have a 350 that is not in use. i would like to know to will the hookup to the 350 to the stock 4l60-e work and will i need to reprogram it. I know that there are swap kits(rad, headers, mounts) i just want to know about will it mount up with min problems or need adapters.
The engine came out of a 87 suburban and it was in my 87 monte carlo ss project car. the trans that i had it bolted to was the stock 200r4 and thats and can the ps, alternator be bolted to the 350
also will the wiring need to be mod for the 355 with a carb and all so the fuel and starter need different hook ups? i just plan on buying the engine mounts and i have the rad, headers 4 it already just would need to know what i would need as far as hooking it up to fuel and starter and wiring so i can start it up

You didn't say what the 350 came out of and thats important, believe it or not. It's important because of the type transmission that was originally hooked up to the 350. This in itself is important because of the spline count for the transmission. If you can, check to make sure that they (spline count) are the same.

What you can do for the intake part of this if you are planning on keeping it fuel injected is to get an intake manifold set up for the S.F.I injection system. This way you can transplant the fuel injection system. If you do this then you're not going to have to change the wiring harness or the E.C.M. If you're going to put a carburetor on it then you don't have to worry about any of this.
