Parachute Hauls
Back in time! Games?
I would like for folks 45 and older to answer this. When I was growing up we made up our own games and toys to play with. We tied ropes in trees and swung out and dropped into ponds, played stick ball with broom sticks and rocks, played hide and seek at night in the dark, jumped picket fences, put each other in truck tires and rolled the tire down a steep hill, tied parachutes on wagons and hauled tail, hunted frogs all day to see who could get the biggest and the most, climbed trees to see who could get higher, tipped over a neighbors outhouse, and more fun stuff....
We didn't have bikes, skate boards, video games, or anything like that. We were made to play outside.
What did you do?
Yes, those were the days! Boy did we have fun. It is looking like we all did about the same things, made up our own games with what we had!
Went swimming in the lake, Camping in the yard, Slide down the fresh clay in the deep ditch when it was re dug for the summer, fished with cane poles or long sticks, made animal sounds to make the neighbors look for their animals in distress!!! Played army with the boys and sticks were our guns, baseball, sewed clothes for my dolls we also climbed trees and swing in tire swings, raided the chickin coop and had egg wars (we got into a lot of trouble for this one!) let the cows chase us, rode the neighbors horses, watched animals being born, played hopscotch, ran every where, had races to see who was fastest, slide down embankments on cardboard, made mud balls to war with the boys, threw water ballons at each other, played in the water hose took turns spraying everybody
