Pedal Assembly
My Singer touch-tronic 2000 sewing machine's needle assembly will not move up and down. Does anyone know why?
I have went through all of the steps in the operators manual, I still can't seem to get the needle assembly to move when I depress the foot pedal. I can move it by hand but it will not move when I depress the pedal. Can anyone tell me what would cause this problem, and what I need to do to correct it? the light comes on, everything else works
My guess is that you've not done whatever you need to do to switch from filling a bobbin to regular sewing... typically a lever or the clutch on the handwheel. Other things fixable by the average user:
1) major thread jam to clean out -- you may have to remove the bobbin case as well as the bobbin
2) poor electrical connections -- check both machine connections, power plug, and foot pedal connections.
3) bad pedal contact internally (some pedals can be inspected for this, others can't be inspected easily)
Otherwise, it's probably time to haul it in for repair. With luck, it's something that can be spotted and fixed on the spot.

Clutch pedal pushrod on 93 explorer?
what is involved in replacing the pushrod off the clutch pedal? can i change just the rod or do i have to change out the whole master cylinder assembly?
Usually it is just the bushing worn out which just snaps into the eye of the rod. The clutch push rod is not sold separately and you must replace the entire master cylinder assembly.
