Pocket Faa

How can the FAA prevent commercial pilots from going on a non-stop wing-snapping thrill ride?
(e.g. a pilot's ex-wife gets on and they fake severe turbulence - falling out of the sky and claiming it was air pockets). Ok, I know the wings most likely won't snap off, but they have in older planes in the past - check the accident databases.
The only case I can think of that even comes remotely close to this was EgyptAir flight 990 on Oct 31, 1999. The final NTSB report [ http://www.ntsb.gov/Publictn/2002/aab0201.htm ] concluded:
"The National Transportation Safety Board determines that the probable cause of the EgyptAir flight 990 accident is the airplane's departure from normal cruise flight and subsequent impact with the Atlantic Ocean as a result of the relief first officer's flight control inputs. The reason for the relief first officer's actions was not determined."
There has been much speculation that the relief first officer committed suicide as a terrorist act. His behavior during the flight was odd, and he repeated the phrase, "I rely on God" many times during the plane's terminal descent.
Other than this crash, I'm unaware of any other commercial airliner crashes attributed to the pilot purposefully and knowingly maneuvering the aircraft in a negligent or dangerous way.
As others pointed out, any pilot who did this sort of thing and landed successfully would face disciplinary action from the airline and certificate action from the FAA. In all likelihood, he'd never fly again.
I think it's safe to say that 99.99999% of airline pilots take the job very seriously and work hard to ensure the safety of the flying public. We spend many tens of thousands of dollars on training to get the job, and we love what we do. None of us want to screw it up and lose the best job in the world. Also, if something goes catastrophically wrong, guess who arrives at the crash site first?
The simple answer to your question is, "They can't," but with years of training for each pilot, the industry's culture of safety, and the FAA's swift action when pilots screw up, it doesn't happen.

Aero-TV: An AHRS In Your Pocket -- Crossbow's New ...
Why should you not pay for OTHERS healthcare as OTHERS pay for your something?
(1) Do you pay for your own police? Others in quite places are out-of-pocket for what goes on in your neighborhood than theirs.
(2) Others pay for your car accident
(3) Others pay for your firefighting. Leave my firefighting alone. Why should my taxes be spent to put out your house fire?
(4) Others, who even don't have kids, pay for your children's schools.
(5) People who don't eve fly pay for your FAA. Pay for your own airline safety.
(6) Others pay for your meat inspection. If you're dumb enough to eat E Coli, what does it have to do with me?
(7) Others, not bothered about illegal immigration, are out-of-pocket to prevent illegal immigration to satisfy your concerns. Pay for your own illegal immigration prevention.
Etc, etc, etc . . .

Right on but conservatives will not see it like that.*
