Are Americans in danger of attack by Israel as in the USS Liberty Attack of 1967?
The USS Liberty was attacked by Israeli warplanes during the 1967 war.
The Liberty was a communications vessel that was in the area collecting signal intelligence.
The Israelis claimed that they mistook this comm ship with all those antennae on it for an Egyptian horse trawler.
Speculation is that the US ship was attacked because of communications signals that were/could have been overheard and that the attack would be blamed on another country and would draw the US into Israel's war.
38 Americans were killed and more than 170 were wounded in the attack.
The attack was allegedly covered up by John McCain's father.
Are US servicemen in the area in danger of being attacked under false/misguided pretenses and is America in danger of being drawn into Israel's war?
