Frequency Decoder

Hacking Satellite tv?
Satellite transmit high frequency radio wave to send audio and video through the air. Then the satellite tv decoder receive the wave and "translate" the wave into something that we can watch.
The problem is, we must pay the 'translation' process to allow us to watch the tv.
Is there any way to us hacking the satellite tv decoder to allow the 'translation' process is free?
If not, can you explain why?

Satellite transmissions are more scrambled than ever before, specifically, transmissions from "direct broadcast" satellites that use the small 18" to 24" dishes to receive programs have always been encrypted.
The method DirecTV uses to encrypt programs is and always has been the hardest to decode and to my knowledge, is still impossible to crack. Other services such as the "Dish Network" uses a less secure encryption code that has been cracked for some time now and I don't know if this has changed.
To get the box to decode the signal you have to either trick the box into performing the process or possess the current code.
Back when I worked for USSB (DirecTV bought us out), our encryption room was heavily secured. Anyone seen even going to the door was put on report and the upgrades that were made periodically came via a handcuffed briefcase to a high level security gaurd.

about main project on OFDM (FPGA VHDL)?
Can anybody provide me reliable links about FPGA VHDL implementation of OFDM transceiver ?
Both baseband(FPGA) and RF-end (Non-FPGA)implementation .
Main blocks for implementation are FFT/IFFT,scrambler/de-scrambler,mapper/de-mapper,cyclic-prefix add/remove,coder/decoder,bit interleaver/de-interleaver, etc.
I am planning to implement this multiplexing technique for UWB MB-OFDM communication.
So, I have to design UWB Antenna,Low Noise Amplifier, PLL frequency multiplier, etc. on non-FPGA RF end.
