Whats the difference between flying a hang-glider and para-gliding-which one is more enjoyable??

I would love to learn.....but for know im just curious to no the difference as im stuck in Florida ......where there are know mountains?!Want to do a lot of research before i consider one or the other!

Previous answerer obviously doesn't know a sailplane from a para-glider. A Para-glider uses a gliding parachute, it's NOT a rigid-hulled sail plane. Read up,dude.
Anyway, probably one of the biggest differences would be speed, the paraglider wouldn't have the speed capability of the more rigid hang-glider. Also the weight of the para-glider is weigh less, compared to the rigid frame and fabric of a hand glider. The hang glider would be more maneuverable as well, but requires more wind and thermals to help keep it aloft longer. If you want more sport and thrill flying, the hang glider would certainly be the more accomodating choice, for low, slow flight, the Paraglider would be the one I'd say is the best for that.
Also there's the seating style, hang glider you're laying out flat, with a para-glider, you're sitting upright, and can turn your head easier to spot things behind you. So for pure sight-seeing pleasure, I'd say the paraglider has the Hanger beat.
You can also consider the fact that with a paraglider, you might can catch some wind to get aloft, even on flat ground in Florida, for a short distance ( on a beach?), whereas with a hang glider, you won't have that option. So you could still get some flying pleasure in Florida with a PG, but not a HG.
In the end, it's up to you, with HGing, you can do tricks, get more speed up, etc., but with PGing, you can ride gentler winds, get aloft on flat ground, and sight-see better. Pick your poison. I'd like to try'em both, but no money for either.
