洗面所の栓を抜くと、水がカバカバ流れ出した。
"When I unplugged the bathroom sink, water gushed down the drain."
In this example, is the と particle an indicator for the what is the immediate result following the previous verb clause? Usually I've seen it used as 'and' , 'if'. Also, I've read that カバカバ translates to 'large quantities' but since it precedes the verb 流れ出した (poured out) does it modify it to something more extreme? Is that why the translation ended up as ~Gushed down rather than ~Poured down?
Also, I noticed that せん (stopper) in the modified noun 洗面所 (bathroom) translates as sink. Can せん be used alone as 'sink' or is it something that represents anything that prevents 'through put' and not necessarily 'sink' ?
Yes, that's how と works in this sentence, but if you think about it, there's no real difference with the usage you're already familiar with: and.

Don't take your translations so literally. Just think of the general meaning.
Yes, the ガバガバ emphasizes the large quantity, so we'd say "gush" or whatever else you want instead of, say, "drip."
洗 means "wash", not "sink."
洗面所 is literally "wash face place" - the place that you wash your face - the bathroom sink.
洗 alone just means "wash".
I think you need to use the series みんなの日本語。 It's great for learning Japanese. It's very straightforward and intuitive.

Milk Quantity/ Re-lactating?
When relactating, does the quantity of your milk keep increasing over time or do you hit plateaus, so to speak?
If you start with only getting a few drops each time and go to getting 2 ounces every 3 hours after a week and a half, is that a good indicator that it will continue to increase? I know it's a supply and demand but I started off pumping every 3 hours and am doing the same now, but am also seeing an increase. I'm just curious if the quantity will continue to rise over the next few weeks. I'm hoping for a full supply w/ no need for supplementing w/ formula.
(Nursing is not an option, BTW, so please do not suggest that. My son is almost 5 months old, had breast milk until 4 months, weaned to formula for 2 weeks, and then I changed my mind... Just in case the age/ time matters.)

Any tips mystic? I have sincerely tried everything the LC's here have suggested. I hate pumping and wish, more than anything, that he would nurse.
As you nursed on demand the first 6 weeks after birth it is more likely that you can have a full supply. However some mothers can not maintain a full supply when exclusively pumping)
5 months is NOT too late to teach a baby to nurse directly even if they never have.

* a Supplemental nursing system so there is more immediate gratification
* Starting with a bottle then switching to the breast
* Much as I hate them: nipple shield?
