Secondary Vaccume

my holley carburator keeps flooding over on me,can "anybody tell me why?

I have several holley carbs model#4150&4160 vaccume secondary.Ive put in new needles,floats,powervalves ect,sometimes they run great for a day or 2,then its the ol flood me over & piss me off routine,theyre older holleys,no power valve protection,but i cant belive they blow out that fast(ive bought several new ones ) and i dont think its my fuel pressure either because im running a eddelbrock 750 and i can run it empty in the fuel bowls. gotta raise my floats.any help is appreciated

Check the float level and needle/seat very carefully...also fuel pressure. Run the engine with the float level plug off and see if it overflows when this condition happens. Sometime excessive heat will cause fuel to percolate out of the bowl vents...try installing a heat shield or phenolic base gasket to insulate the carb if that's a problem.
