New Sidekick Help!!! i have the 08 help me ?

K. So i turend my phone on for the first time about 6 hrs ago and the welcome screen still hasnt come up yet the first screen comes up and it says to just wait for the welcome screen,. and this may take up to 24 hrs to load, and all my friends sidekics doesnt take this long to laod.. but mine, wtf?? and this is what the screen says also.
network data services are curenty unavailabe either your gprs apn setting is incorrect or your account is not configuered for GPRS
Idk what to do,. i called customer service but the people barely speak english and dont even know wtf im talking about.

Call customer care and tell them you need to add the Sidekick Unlimited rate plan to your account. It costs $20 a month on top of your voice plan. Unless you get that you won't be able to use most of the Sidekick features. If you really don't want the plan, then you can only voice and text. Press Menu+L on that screen and it'll go to the main menu.

APN part1



My sidekick will not connect to a network

It says Network data services are currently unavailable. Either my GPRS APN setting is incorrect or my account is not configured for GPRS. What does this mean and how can i fix it?

It means the networks not available right now. Or you messed something up. Call T-Mobile and ask if there is an outage in your area, and if there is it should be fixed in no time. If not, asked to be switched to the Sidekick department and they can fix it for you.
