can i hook up an powered subwoofer to my 42'' corion digital lifestyles tv audio out on the tv's back panel?

i dont want to buy an external reciever then run a powered subwoofer to, i just want to do away with that idea and hook one up directly to the audio out on the back panel of my tv. is this possible?

If it is a variable audio out active with all sources, yes you can.
