Cruiser Project

Will a 4.3 bolt straight into stock mounts on 67-72 C10?
I have a 67/72 C10. I have had these trucks before but with 283 or 350 getting all of 8-10mpg. I am doing this one for a daily driver with sway bars, air ride, and full disc brakes. I am not looking for a speed demon drag truck, just a smooth cruiser. I think the 4.3 is perfect. Im looking for advice and ideas. Never replaced older engine with computerized newer one. Can someone help in any directions, such as mounts, computer, etc. As well as what to look out for, or year model 4.3 to stay away from. Im beginning project after Holiday Season. Its my gift time. Thanks - J
Thank you for info. Other than the mountor mounts and trans mount situation, any things to look out for such as wiring and computer set up? I will be running 700 trans as well.
the 4.3 will bolt and fit right in it because we done it before on a 67 model that came with a 283 in it the one thing you have to use though are the mounts from the 4.3 they set little more forward, other than that they will work, and your right they do make a good engine for a cruiser,we did a 67 model this way and thinking about doing another one, only older,63 model, those are excellent engines,i went with the 700r4 trannsmission also so we could get the over drive,Great truck on gas and the upgrades you can do to it once its in there are unreal, that's a real good combination to go with though, the only problem you might have is with the transmission mount we had to find a cross member that would work right, and it came from a 73 model chevy truck, good luck.

Soviet Cruiser Maxim Gorky $74.88 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Maxim Gorky was a Project 26bis Kirovclass cruiser of the Soviet Navy that served during World War II and into the Cold War. She had her bow blown off by a mine in the Gulf of Riga during the opening stages of Operation Barbarossa, but made it to Kronstadt for repairs. After being repaired, she was blockaded by Axis minefields in Leningrad and Kronstadt for most of the war, but participated in the Siege of Leningrad by providing gunfire support for the defenders. She bombarded Finnish positions during the VyborgPetrozavodsk Offensive in mid1944, but played no further part in the war. She began a major modernization in 1953, but the Navy reconsidered the costeffectiveness of the refit and canceled it in 1955. She was sold for scrap in 1959. Cruiser $108.33 A cruiser is a large type of warship, which had its prime period from the late 19th century to the end of the Cold War. The first cruisers were intended for individual raiding and protection missions on the seas. Over the years, the nature and role of the cruiser has changed considerably, and today the cruiser has largely been replaced by destroyers in its roles. Historically a cruiser was not a type of ship but a warship role. Cruisers were shipsoften frigates or smaller vesselswhich were assigned a role largely independent from the fleet. Typically this might involve missions such as raiding enemy merchant shipping. In the late 19th century the term cruiser came to mean ships designed to fulfill such a role, and from the 1890s to the 1950s a cruiser was a warship larger than a destroyer but smaller than a battleship. For much of 19th century and the first half of the 20th, the cruiser was a navys longrange force projection weapon. How difficult would it be to paint my own motorcycle?
I am in the market for a good used bike. I cant get a sport bike (because of insurance) so have to go with something more like a cruiser. Problem is, i dont like how most cruisers look (with the exception of some harleys). dont get me wrong, they are nice for other people, but im a smaller guy and dont like having a huge tank between my legs, it just makes it feel awkward for driving. if i find a harley thats in my price range, but is a little bit older of a body style (probebaly somewhere in the 90s) how hard would it be for me to 'fix it up' the way i like it? could i find a different, aftermarket tank to put on? we have a spray gun and compresser etc. for painting, but ive never used it. could i learn and use it on my bike? what would be a good way to practice? any guesses on how much paint costs and wher eyou can buy it from? if you know of any sites that give tips and demonstrate painting, thatd be a big help. i want to get hands on with a project. thanks a lot for any help
Not hard at all. Now making it look good takes years of practice and skill.

It’s not from at least my little corner of things, though what I’m doing with the International Open Space Initiative may not be considered part of the CSTART program as of yet. (at least some there are aware of it) I’m currently working on a modular telerobot family design, habitat building system (deriving from my Utilihab home building platform), a video/PP presentation for promoting the telerobotic pre-settlement concept, and intend to eventually develop a nice portable labyrinth exhibit -if I can ever figure out how to get the necessary artwork… I’d like to ultimately develop something as nice as the banner wall part of the [portable village Planet Solar had last year for their solar cruiser project. Their exhibit, with its inflatable dome, seems like a good model for this sort of thing. Alas, my art skills are poor and my work load heavy so things are going slow.
