Should I throw out the dog food?

There was a live mouse in my dog food container. Just a small little guy taking a nap after his feast. We have plastic dog food holder that holds 40 lbs. and it is about half full. It has a cover but it doesn't latch when it is full of dog food (it came this way) so we typically leave the lid propped open. My husband got the mouse out of it and took it outside. We are going to get some traps and seal the container now, but I was wondering if we should toss the food and start fresh. My hubby thinks it is fine but I think it is gross. Do mice carry disease like rats do?

Just being me I would definatly get rid of the dog food. I do understand that dog food can get pricey especially when you have a bigger dog, but I just think its icky.

Regarding the AIG bailout........more foul news?

Excerpt from AP - March 18...........

"Fresh details, meanwhile, pushed AIG outrage ever higher: New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo reported that 73 separate company employees received bonus checks of $1 million or more last Friday. This at a company that was failing so spectacularly the government felt the need to prop it up with a $170 billion bailout."

Are you getting angrier and angrier by the day over this AIG mess?

I sure am! We should've never propped up a failing business. Gov't is not in the business (pun not intended) of handling businesses. They are better left to private investors.
AIG would've been pieced apart and sold to whoever was willing to take the pieces. Problem solved. BUT NOOOOOOO.....
