do you feel mixed race have a voice in western society?

As a mixed race person living in London,England (an increasingly multicultral capital of the world) i feel mixed race people are not in the media as much as they should. (magazines,tv,websites) compared to white and black people are.

do you feel this is something that needs to be addressed?
i ask this because i am thinking of starting a mixed race magazine as well as website and so on...

i understand mixed race people are in the media, but i feel they need a voice like black and beautiful magazine etc.

thanks for reading.

Well, here in Nicaragua, many people are of mixed race. Mestizos (mixed White and Amerindian [Indigenous people]) constitute 69% of our population. The majority of those in the media are Mestizos. We are a country of much diversity, we had the 1st elected Woman President in the American continent, woman fought alongside men during our wars, especially during the 1979 revolution where they had a strong voice. I am especially surprised (but happy) about the large Nicaraguan mixed Chinese population in Nicaraguan media lately. Also, Afro-Nicaraguans are very well present in the media.

I feel that this is almost non-existent in the U.S., they preach peace and equality but promote war and inequality (gender wise).

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Victorian Magazines were perhaps the greatest vehicles of topical dissemination throughout Britain and America in the midlate 19th century and early 20th century; and are credited for liberalizing society and advancing globalization. Some of the more popular magazines (based on their sells) were Scribners Magazine, Harpers Monthly, Leslies Magazine, McClures, Century and Puck Magazine. Although the Victorian era spanned from 18371901 (Queen Victorias birth and death), most magazines derived from the period circulated beyond the Victorian and Edwardian period, and for reasons of flow, all magazines from 18501930 are included. Clannad Full Voice- Tomoya has dirty magazines?

A legal question regarding a phone solicitor and an accidental voice recorded contract-what are my rights?

Last month a phone solicitor called me at work and was telling me about what seemed like a pretty good deal at the time. Basiclly the deal was that I can get 10 different subscriptions to 10 different magizines of my choice in payments of twenty dollars a month for two years. After 2 years I would not have to make anymore payments but the magazines would still keep coming for an additional year after that. Being busy at work without the time to really think about the commitment I was making ($480 dollars over 48 months) I ended up giving a verbal voice recorded agreement that I would pay and not cancel for any reason. One week later, before I actually started receiving any magazines I called the place and told them I wanted to back out of the deal. Not only did they tell me I couldn't cancel, they are threating to send me over to a collection agency. I'm wanting to know if I have any rights in this matter at all. Is there any legal way to get out of a verbal agreement?

If a phone contract is allowable in your state, and the recording is done appropriately authorizing the deal, then you will most likely hold full legal liability for the deal. Unless the deal was misrepresented, and that would be on the recorded call, it is allowable if it's within your state law for a phone solicitor to attempt this type of business under a verbal contract.
If the contract is binding in your state, then they can legally send you to collection for non-payment against a closed-end monthly contract.
So I say since you are probably stuck unless your state does not allow that type of telephone transaction, enjoy your magazines and know you are saving a ton of money over buying them at the counter.
If this incident ends up being the largest wrinkle in the lifetime of of your consumer buying fabric, then you would have done well, oh optimystical one.

One Response to “Magazines Voice”

  1. toby Says:

international magazines are not the voice or opinion of the people, and they are not GOD, magazine are made by human beings that take a side, somebody took mr betrayer suebu's side, and decided to hail him as a hero, he hasnt done nothing YET, wait and see the result of his actions before you call him a hero,
west papua IS not Indonesian, Indonesia is just there because of the natural resources, nothing else,
“act of free choice” whatever happend to it,
Papuans are a different race and culture from indonesians, they share nothing,
why doesn't Indonesia annex Sarawak, it would be more suitable, from a cultural and racial point of view, again the answer to that is : A LOT OF LAND WHERE THERE IS PLENTY FULL OF RESOURCES TO OUR INDONESIAN PEOPLE, WE CAN EXPLOIT, WE CAN RELOCATE OUR PEOPLE FROM THE ALREADY OVERCROWDED ISLAND OF JAVA, AND ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS TO OUT NUMBER “SOME” (COMPARED TO INDONESIAN POPULATION STANDARDS) PRIMITIVE TRIBES THAT DOES NOT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE SITTING ON A SACK OF GOLD,

FREE WEST PAPUA FROM THE TYRANNIC AND CORRUPTED GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,
