whats the best 2stroke oil for 582 rotax bluehead/ultralight?

I use only Castrol "R" 2 stroke racing oil. It is by far better than any other that I have tried, plus it smells good! What more could you want?

The Rotax 447 is a development of the Rotax 377, increasing the power output from 26 kW (35 hp) to 29.5 kW (40 hp) by increasing the cylinder bore from 62 mm to 67.5 mm and the maximum rpm from 6500 to 6800. The modern 447 has a single breakerless, magneto capacitordischarge ignition (CDI) system. Early (ca. 1988) models use a breaker point ignition system. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles An oil is any substance that is liquid at ambient temperatures and is hydrophobic but soluble in organic solvents. Oils have a high carbon and hydrogen content and are nonpolar substances. The general definition above includes compound classes with otherwise unrelated chemical structures, properties and uses, including vegetable oils, petrochemical oils, and volatile essential oils. All oils can be traced back to organic sources. An essential oil is a concentrated, hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants. An oil is essential in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant. Essential oils do not, as a group, need to have any specific chemical properties in common, beyond conveying characteristic fragrances. In history, oil has been used for Vikings, Spartans, etc. in war as they believed it made them stronger. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. 2 stroke snowmobile, 1978?

i have a curious question on mixing 15w-30 diesel engine oil with gas instead of 2 stroke oil. the reason is i have a 1972 snowmobile that runs on Rotella 15w-30. simplily because thats what it calls for. and ive had not one problem with it. it deffentaly dosent carbon up near as much. and seems to have increase in power...but it is a "rotary engine" i also have a 503 rotax ski-doo that i was curious if u can mix it the same with the 15w-30 oil. instead of regualar 2 stroke oil?????

Two stroke oil is "regular" oil that has better particulates in it to prevent smoke and give better lubricity (better than 1972). but your engine was designed for that oil, so it will be fine with that oil. The rotary will be fine too, just more smoky.

My `59 Vespa called for SAE30 oil to be mixed in with the gas...I just put Two stroke oil in it, worked just the same.

Dont mix oils though, the stuff in the oil formulations sometimes cling together and slime up.......
