Seaplane Amphibian

seaplne and landplane ratings?
A VFR pilot with a seaplne and landplane ratings take off from a lake in an amphibian, flies for an hour, and lands on a concrete runway. How must the time be logged?
all as seaplane?
all as landplane?
half seaplane and half landplne?
either, it does not matter ?
I would log it as SES until I landed. (remembering to log the landing as SEL for currency to carry passengers)
once you touch down on a hard surface you become a land aircraft, At THAT time SELstarts until I hit the water again .
I can not find any regulation guidance to help, just my not so humble opinion!

Amphibian $111.53 Amphibians (class Amphibia), such as frogs, toads, salamanders, newts, and caecilians, are ectothermic (or coldblooded) animals that metamorphose from a juvenile waterbreathing form, to an adult airbreathing form. Though amphibians typically have four limbs, the Caecilians are notable for being limbless. Unlike other land vertebrates (amniotes), amphibians lay eggs in water. Amphibians are superficially similar to reptiles. Amphibians are ecological indicators, and in recent decades there has been a dramatic decline in amphibian populations around the globe. Many species are now threatened or extinct. Amphibians evolved in the Devonian Period and were top predators in the Carboniferous and Permian Periods, but many lineages were wiped out during the PermianTriassic extinction. One group, the metoposaurs, remained important predators during the Triassic, but as the world became drier during the Early Jurassic they died out, leaving a handful of relict temnospondyls like Koolasuchus and the modern orders of Lissamphibia. How many amphibian aircrafts are operational in the USA and Canada?
Would like to have a rough estimate on the numbers of seaplanes/floatplanes operational in these countries. Even a rough percentage with respect to other general aviation aircrafts would suffice.
Here is the problem...you are asking for an answer that can only be found by two methods - STAB or SWAG
As in I'll take a stab at that...
or
My swag is...
STAB - Scientific, Totally Abstract, Bluff
SWAG - Scientific, Wild-A#$, Guess
As noted, both answers begin with science but quickly deteriorate into another acronym MSU (Making *Stuff Up)
*substitute with any other "S" word
