what is better a Challenger II special or a Titan Tornado SS?

The Titan Tornado is far superior to the Challenger II. You can construct a large slider window from plans in the Tornado builder manual normally used for camera access to get the open cabin feel. I've had no trouble doing the flour bomb drop by opening the front door and the door stays in place due to the front air flow. I've flown the Challenger II and personally am not a fan at all. I started my flying in the CGS Hawk Arrow II and it was a much nicer platform to learn and fly the low and slow style...plus you could remove all doors easily if you really need to feel that much air.

I've built 6 Tornados including 2 SS models. It's the most incredible sport plane available! I do a lot of light aerobatics including barrel rolls, loops, split-S, immelman, wing overs, etc. Structurally I feel the Tornado is much safer, in fact no recorded structural failures in flight. Can't say the same about the Challenger as I have first hand knowledge of failed wing brackets.
