Training Discovery Flights

Are there any pilot's (prefferably commercial) on here from NZ.?
Hey guys... how did you go about getting your CPL? I've looked into Milson Flight Systems; I think that they are adequate, but not amazing. I recently picked up a brocure about Southern Wings; and they look pretty good from what I can tell. Basically, your thoughts on NZ flight training establishments (southern wings in particular), but Air Discovery etc. will also be greatly appreciated! Thanks
canterbury aero club is good.

Workout: One On One Training With Jackie DVD $14.95 Fans of the deliciously soapy Bravo reality series Work Out may need to be reminded just how fine a personal trainer Jackie Warner is. This disc is that reminder, containing a fast-paced and comprehensive fitness routine that ranks among the very best. Warner is personable as she trains--and she doesn't stint on doing the moves herself. She's designed the workout in three chunks, upper body, lower body, and core/abs, which can be done separately or combined for a full hour heavy-duty routine. Because there's little rest between moves, the whole workout seems to fly by, but there's no denying its overall intensity. Warner combines tried-and-true moves (crunches, squats) with some new twists (just try to do that "butterfly" crunch and not feel it deeply the next day). And she's upbeat without being perky--though a viewer could be forgiven for grousing when Warner chirps "I could do these all day!" during Sumo squats. She also gives great attention to form, often working with one other trainer so it feels as though the viewer is getting a one-on-one session too. There are modifications for both beginning and advanced exercisers, so there's no excuse not to jump in. The hour will be over before you know it. |

Bob White X15 autographed framed photograph $149.95 The framed Bob White photo with autograph is a perfect representation of the Major-General's X-15 that took flying to record-breaking heights. Famous for its fast speeds and high altitude flights, the X15 could almost be a spaceship. The Bob White war plane photo should be on the walls of aircraft and spacecraft lovers alike. The X15 Bob White photo shows Major-General Robert Michael White (born 1924) who was a military aircraft test pilot and United States Air Force commander, who broke a number of records with the North American X-15 experimental aircraft during the 1960s, and was responsible for the design and development of several modern military aircraft. In February, 1961, White unofficially set a new air speed record when he flew the X-15 at a speed of 2,275 mph (3660 km/h), following the installation of a 57,000 lb (254 kN) thrust XLR-99 engine. In a different war plane photo, White was the first human to fly an aircraft at Mach 4 and later Mach 5 over the next eight months. On 9 November 1961, White flew the X-15 at 4,093 mph (6590 km/h), making him the first pilot to fly a winged craft at six times the speed of sound (Mach 6). On 17 July 1962, Major White flew the X-15 to an altitude of 314,750 ft (59 miles, 96 km). This qualified him for an Astronaut Badge, becoming the first "Winged Astronaut", one of few who have flown into space without a conventional spacecraft. The Bob White military plane color photograph is signed by White, matted and framed in wood under glass. Certificate of authenticity included. Buy the X15 Bob White photo with autograph and frame for a high-flying decor piece that looks fast while hanging on the wall. |
