Why does the Air Force play ultimate frisbee for ROTC field training and volleyball during BOT?

In the Air Force field training manual, there are actually written rules and a diagram of a field outlining game play. I watched an online video about USAF Basic Officer Training (BOT) in which the candidates played volleyball. How are these activities possibly useful? How could leadership, specifically leadership in any combat situation have anything to do with a volleyball game plan or an ultimate frisbee play?

If you've never tried to play "field training" rules Ultimate Frisbee, you really don't know what you're talking about. It's fun, but it's also discipline, being cautious and aware of your own actions and the consequences associated, plus the usual sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical exercise.

Have ww 2 items discovered at a thrift store?

I was at a salvation army and came across some interesting items...The box contained a photo album with 50 plus very high quality photo's..Letters from a decorated pilot to his family approx 300 to 500 letters all in order from 1943 till early 1946...Flight plans bombing instructions original training manuals magazines that the military published..letters from a usaf major discussing losses in battles etc...More than enough to write a book on this guy's life and like i said the photo's are simply amazing more than likely never been made public...My jaw hit the floor when i seen what was in this collection ...I need help to see if there is any value to these items and how to go about getting it all appraised any help please contact me at htjude@hotmail.com Thanks

Go to a professional appraiser and I don't mean your local antique store . If you have that, a conservative estimate would be in the $5,000.00 or so range. Depending on who the pilot was and what he did it could be a lot higher.
