Why did they show the plane crash with no survivors at the very end?

I understand the whole "the island plotline was real and they all died at separate points", but then why did they show at the very very end the plane crash with nobody alive?

Because they all died. how do you not just understand

FILIPINOS, about your very first plane ride, was it for a domestic or an international destination?

My theory is for most Filipinos, their first air travel brings them to a foreign country (usually to work or to join a petitioning fiance(e). It is only after having gone abroad that they would find the time and the inclination to tour local destinations (during occasional balikbayan trips). Why is that?

If I'm wrong, do tell.
Not really sure if that's a theory or a hypothesis. I'll play if safe and say "my observation is...."

of course not. especially these days when there are cheaper alternatives to travel by air.

i remember mine was a domestic flight to Cebu with my family back in 1990. my father was the co-pilot of that flight so i guess our tickets were at discounted at least.
