can i add a printer to mymini acer lab top? please answer guys im really lost?

hey everyone i got my lab top like last year from wal mart its a small acer mini blue lab top about 400$ works great. but is there any chance i can add a printer to it? im asking cause its so small im not sure. i just want a printer for printing out black & white posters for my wheat paste.. how much will a printer cost for my use? i just want something that will fit my needs. any suggestions? and can i even have a printer with my mini acer lab top?

If it's got USB, of course you can print. Any printer will suffice. Dunno what wheat paste has to do with it.

Art collector: McCain posters 'not worth anything'



Enlarge an image much larger than its original size w/o creating distorton it/losing its resolution?

I am hoping to create a large-sized version of the print (about 4 1/2' x 6'). I tried taking a photo of a 2' x 3' art print poster on the highest resolution the camera would allow, but the result was still somewhat distorted and grainy. Would I have better luck buying an art book, cutting out the picture I want (12" x 14") and scanning it? I've heard that a professional grade scanner might handle a job like this. I just dont want to go out and pay for the book if it's not going to work!

Ultimately, I'm looking to create a jpeg for a very enlarged version of the image (4'-5' x 6') that will maintain much of the clarity, color, size and resolution. I am hoping someone out there has been through this and can give me some suggestions or short cuts. Any details on what materials/processes I will need are most appreciated. I'd like to add that this is for personal use only--I've tried to buy the print but they dont make it in this very large size that I need. THANKS!

You can't create what's not there in the original.
I've created copy negs for lots of prints.

You can go up a couple of sizes with a very good original (8x10" or 11x14") - if you dont' stand real close.

Going from the book is still a 6x magnification. It might look fair at a distance of 50'.

How to do it? Scan it. Get a wide inkjet printer. Spend days on the computer getting it set just right to print. Spend another day pasting it together.

The reason why they don't make one that big for sale is that they know it would look crappy too - and no one else would but it.
