Engine Carburetor Holley
which carburetor is better for a 1972 c-10 pick up with a 350 engine Holley or edelbrock.?
i'm 17 and don't really know that much about engines just the basics,and my dad has a 1972 hevy c-10 that he wants to give to me,the only problem is the carburetor,when I put the truck i gear and give it gas it cuts off,and I want to buy a new carb because the one in it is not the original and has some extra ports that the original didn't have in it.

it does have a quadrajet on it
Depends on your preference, they can be set up to do the same thing, you should look at what's on there now, if it's a Quadrajet then they are a spreadbore carb 2 large ports and 2 small ones, I believe Edelbrock owns quadrajet now so you could get a replacement, I don't think Holley makes a spreadbore, but you can get an adapter plate for the intake.
