Nose Cone

why is more mass required in the nose cone of the rocket?
why does the nose cone have to be heavy to fly
It's because of the relationship between the center of mass and the wind resistance.
The wind resistance pushing against the rocket will tend to make it rotate around its center of mass (a.k.a., center of gravity).
If the c.m. (center of mass) is toward the back end of the rocket, then the there's a lot of surface area in front of the c.m. This means there's more wind resistance in front of the c.m. than behind it; and that wind resistance tends to tip the rocket against the wind, which means against the direction it's trying to fly. Pretty soon, the rocket is flying in a wild path.
But if the c.m. is near the front of the rocket, the wind resistance acts more on the back end. This tips the rocket more into the wind, which means more in the direction it's flying. This keeps the rocket in a stable path.
So, anything you can do to move the c.m. closer to the front end of the rocket, will help it fly in a more stable path. Adding weight to the nose cone will shift the c.m. toward the front.

Rocket Project: Building the nosecone oven
a good way to make molds for small projectile with different nose cones?
i need to find a way to make small bullet like thing with different cones witout expensive tools and stuff. preferablly metal becasue its gonna travel through water.
well you will need to make a die, since it will be metal, the die will need to be of an metal that will have a higher melting point then the metal being used. I've made sand casts for glass tiles, it may work on metal as well. just get a box of sand and press in the object and pour in your ore.
