What to Check in a Used Aircraft For Sale

In your home or in your business, custom floors are a detail that says a lot about you and your company. As with many products, there are two broad applications for modular garage flooring, commercial and residential. Modular floors can transform a space and make it look amazing.Seized property is sold through government auctions and police auctions every day. These seized property auctions offer every type of merchandise imaginable - jewelry, collectibles, electronics, office equipment, and more. Best of all, these goods are sold for pennies on the dollar!

In 2004, the internal revenue service added the option of deducting state and local sales tax on your 2004 and 2005 federal tax return. This was in place of taking the state income tax deduction. The enactment of this was helpful for people who reside in states that do not withhold state income taxes. In Jane Mendelsohn's imaginative 1997 novel "I Was Amelia Earhart" she fictionalized what happened to the famous aviator, and it was a good read. There are countless non-fiction versions of "Lady Lindy's" last days, some more bizarre than any fiction I've seen. But like the ghost of Elvis Presley, Amelia Earhart is back. All the mystery, drama and romance surrounding the beautiful woman who vanished over the Pacific Ocean seventy years ago, has returned to haunt us again. Strictly speaking, the case was never officially declared closed.

Flying an RC Plane can be a lot of fun. So if you've got time on your hands and you're looking for a hobby that will focus on speed and creativity then RC Jets might just be what you have been searching for. Having the freedom to fly whenever and wherever is exhilarating and something most helicopter pilots yearn and most search for helicopters for sale.We all know that for best performance of any automobile, it needs regular maintenance. Similarly, every airplane technician knows when Aircraft maintenance is required. When word maintenance comes into one's mind we think of various Airplane Replacement Parts like aircraft seats, the seatbelts, the carpet, overhead bins, and many more.

Owning a private jet is a superb dream, especially when realized. Some opt for aircraft fractional ownership. Still others strictly charter private jet flights. What then, are the costs involved, and generally what are the pros and cons of these options? Let's examine this at length and in detail...The continuation of the history of a small service franchise business in the aviation sector; whose humble beginnings began in the middle of a recession. This proves that anything is possible and that with enough will and entrepreneurial spirit no matter what the condition of your industry sector, you can succeed in America.

An aircraft is a vehicle which is used to transport people and goods from one place to another. The recent aircrafts are introduced with lots of changes when compared to that of earlier ones. Man's enthrallment towards aircrafts has not changed and so the changes are being taken place.Owning a personal island property in a tropical location has long been the most powerful status symbol among elite members of society, and with good reason.

Whatever your company makes or sells, it probably works especially well for particular group of buyers. In other words, they get a level of value out of the deal that hardly anyone else would. Doesn't it make sense to focus your efforts on finding and presenting to these prospects? It's just as important to plan for an economic upturn as it is to develop contingency plans for a looming recession. And from some of the leading economic indicators, now is the time to begin planning for a return to recovery. Here are ten strategies to prepare your organization to be well-positioned for the economic recovery.

how impacted are airline jobs?

I've read in magazines that job openings for pilots are looking good for the coming years. how true is this? also, how closely do airlines work with the government?

Yeah they look great for the 25% that hey laid off. The pilots union will hire them back first. Its a great outlook for them.

Now to be a commercial airline pilot plan to have a 4 year degree. Then get your pilots license. It will cost you almost 200,000 to get jet training. This is for a job that will start at maybe 35K a year.

Seriously I wanted to be a pilot. It takes years and tenure. If you want to be a pilot, go military. They pay for it. Then go commercial. It will take you a minimum of 20 years to make what you paid.

I do loans and know what they make. I did a loan for assistant manager at McDonalds last week that made more then an airline pilot made after 3 years.

Dont do it for the money. At least not if you go military.

Healthcare Costs Moving Up on Auto Pilot

Recently, HealthGlobe CEO Jeff Carter attended and spoke at the CFO Core Concerns conference hosted by CFO Magazine. Jeff was able to have lengthy discussions about health care benefit costs and strategies with CFOs from a number of different industries across the country. These conversations gave me some valuable insight into how health care costs continue to escalate unchecked by speaking with the people who figure out how to pay for it: Corporate CFOs.What amazed Jeff was that most of the people I spoke with simply allocated a 15-25% trend increase in health care costs into their annual budget projections. No questions asked, that's just the way it has to be.

Um. Why?  Shouldn't CFO's and Human Resources professionals try to find another way?

When any other vendor walks in with a 15% annual cost increase year after year, there is always at least an evaluation of other vendors to gauge whether better pricing is possible, or even simply to get some pricing leverage against the vendor. But it seems that in the world of health care, benefits are such a sacred cow that companies basically tweak two variables only: employee contributions and co-pay levels.

Frankly, it becomes pretty difficult to blame "the system" for the unending cost increases. If you asked for a 15% raise every year and every year you got what you asked for, why would you ever stop asking? You'd probably just keep asking for as much as you think you can get. So why wouldn't insurance companies do the exact same thing?

Jeff does not suggest that if companies started pushing back that there would be a collapse in medical cost increases, only that it is rather shocking that they are not pushing back and forcing a long-term change in the efficiency of the system. Here are my two key observations:

  • BE CREATIVE!! - When your top line revenue or your bottom line profit numbers do not come in the way you had projected, what do you do? You roll up your sleeves, get your best team members in a room and start thinking creatively until you fix the problem. Well, raising employee contributions and co-pays is certainly not very creative. Put strong incentives in place for your employees to consider the cost of their consumption.  Medical Travel Benefits are a great place to start, and can probably provide the most significant immediate savings, but there a whole number of ways to reduce your health care exposure.

  • HealthGlobe was able to present a 700 life self-funded group with a 10% year-over-year DECREASE in their stop-loss premium this year because they were using a Medical Travel benefit. That's before they save money on any claims processed through the HealthGlobe Network. One more time, that's a year-over-year *reduction* in fixed costs.  Contact HealthGlobe if you are interested in learning more about how you can slow the growth of the healthcare benefits you provide your employees.

How do I stay motivated after grinding through flight training?

Over this past year I've gotten my instrument rating, commmercial license, and CFII (as initial). I'm now working on my CFI but I'm finding it very hard to stay motivated. I dread going to my flight lessons. I get along with my instructor well but I just find the content incredibly boring. I've regurgitated airspace, weather, systems, etc so many times for so many checkrides. I really enjoyed flight training because it was a difficult yet exciting challenge to earn my certificates.

So, you got your II before you got your CFI, uh-huh....

If you find doing this boring, get another job it is not for you. Flying is thousands of hours of boredom, if you can't handle it now, what are you going to do later.

Aero-TV: Quite The Type-Rating... Checking Out In The DC-3

How To Get Commercial Pilot License (CPL)

It starts with a dream. You are fascinated by planes and the technology, you like the uniform and you practice to speak like a pilot. If flying is truly your passion and you want to make your dream a reality, then it is time for flight training.

An student blog post from Flight School Blog offers the following chronological order of steps to get that coveted Commercial Pilot License.

First Flight Lesson – find a school and start lessons.

FAA Medical – you get your FAA approved medical checkup, and usually if it is your first FAA medical the doctor will also issue you a Student Pilot Certificate.

Student Pilot Certificate –  usually issued by the medical examiner (see above)

SOLO – big day, your first time that you get to fly by yourself. You must have your medical, student pilot license and your instructors endorsement and supervision when this is done.

PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE – (PPL) you can not rent a plane and fly with passengers. You can only fly in VFR (visual flight rules)conditions (good visibility – by reference of the outside)

Instrument Rating – (IFR) the instrument rating is training so that you can fly the airplane by reference of instruments, in other words you now are licensed to fly in conditions where the visibility is below VFR minimums – you now have to abide by IFR (instrument flight rules)

COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE  – (CPL) this is the license that will make it legal for you to fly for hire ( get a job flying , charge for flights)

Certified Flight Instructor – (CFI) with your CFI license you can teach others the PPL and CPL

Certified Flight Instructor Instrument – (CFII) with this addition you can teach the instrument rating

Multi Engine Instructor – (MEI) this edition lets you teach in Multi Engine Airplanes

Airline Transport Pilot – (ATP) in order for you to become a Captain for an Airline you must have your ATP license.

To achieve your CPL, you must stay on top of your flight program with all your assignments. Responsibility in the flight school classroom leads to responsibility as a pilot in the skies.

Welcome to your new life as a future commercial pilot – Happy Flying!

Private Pilot Flight
What is the best flight school in Atlanta for my private pilot's license?

There is no "best" flight school in Atlanta but there are several good ones. You may even want to drive out of the city a ways to find a school that suits you. I suggest that you start researching how to intelligently choose flight schools and instructors then start visiting some and asking questions. There are a lot of airports with flight schools within 50 miles of downtown ATL. In general, the closer in you are (Peachtree Dekalb, or example) the higher the cost is goint to be, not in just hourly rates but in the amount of extra time it takes to fly to / from a practice area and how much time is wasted sitting on the ground waiting to take off. For a PPL, I suggest training at a more rural airport that isn't too busy, but commute time / distance will of course play a part in your decision.

There are dozens of useful articles to be found on the internet regarding this subject. You might start here http://www.aopa.org/learntofly/startfly/…I also highly recommend that you spend $35 and order this: http://learn-to-fly-book.arizona-flight-… It will save you a lot of money and potential heartache, guaranteed.

Do not let flight school advertising and literature to overly influence your judgement. The intent of such things is to get you to spend your money, not to inform you of the true facts. Do your research carefully. Also be advised that course costs quoted by schools are usually based on earning a pilot certificate in the minimum legal number of flight hours. The national average for thre private pilot certificate is 65 hours, about 40% higher than the minimum. If you are quoted $7,000 for a 40 hour course, plan on spending $10,000 to $12,000.

How to get a Private Pilot License

There are quite a few things that you need to know to be able to get a private pilot license and be able to learn to fly a small private airplane. If you want to be able to get private pilot training you need to be at least Sixteen (16) years of age and be able to fluently speak, understand and read English (this is because English is the only language that the tests are written in and spoken in the flight control towers worldwide). You need to go through several steps in order to show that you know what you are doing to the satisfaction of the flight school you attend, the state you live in and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The first step that you need to take to learn to fly is finding out where the local flight school is and start inquiring about how you go about enrolling. You need to be aware that you are going to be required to take a medical exam that is required by federal law under the FAA’s rules to clear you of any medical conditions that could keep you from getting a private pilot license. The FAA has very strict rules in place to make sure that those who do have a pilot’s license will not black out while in flight or create any other types of safety hazards to and for themselves and all other aircraft that are in the air around them. Once you are medically cleared, you will start your private pilot training with Ground School classes.

You need to make it completely through your Ground School classes (which are going to run between three and four thousand dollars) that are part of your private pilot training and will run for three, four or five weeks (depending on the school in question) to be able and eligible to take the written test that the FAA created to test the knowledge and skills of those seeking a private pilot license. It is after you have finished the Ground School course that you will actually get into a plane and learn to fly it hands on. You need a minimum of Thirty (30) and maximum of Forty (40) hours real flight time with your instructor. After that you will do a “Solo” flight (without the instructor aboard) to prove that you know what you are doing.

The last couple of things that you need to do in the process of private pilot training are to take the true Final Exam that is referred to as a “Check Ride” that will grant you your private pilot license if you pass. The FAA will give you your pilot’s license that also carries a Visual Flight Rating so that you will be able to fly a small private plane (single-engine only) during good weather providing you have good clear visibility. This is all part of the deal when you want to learn to fly a small private plane for your own use.
