Action Fuel Guage

The voltmeter on my 98 K1500 jumps back and forth a little when blinker is on. Should I worry?

The voltmeter is usually steady on 14 but drops about 1 mark when the blinker comes on, up when it's off, down when it's on. Perfectly in time with the blinking action. Is there a remedy or is this okay?
Other guages work fine except for the fuel guage always twitching but still works well.

It is showing a voltage drop when the blinker is on, don't worry, you say it is in perfect time. Check battery voltage if it really bothers you, but I would say it isn't something to worry about. It is functioning fine, it detects, and shows a voltage drop.

Consumer Auto puts it at around 2100-2600 for excellent condition, 1500-1800 for fair.

Given that you have tons of modifications to it, which were personal choices of your own, and not what everyone would want....that deducts from the value.

Carmax generally deducts between 10% and 15%, for modifications. Basically, you made the car how you want it. But that doesn't mean anyone else wants it that way.

Also, consider the modifications you made that were pointless. 1992 Civic seats? Why? Air fuel gauge? You don't have a wideband o2 sensor, so it does you no good. Racing pedals? Pedals don't help you race. Shift light? What on earth for? The car doesn't travel fast enough for you to require a faster reaction time than normal.

Coming from someone who knows a thing or two about cars, I wouldn't give it a second look, because it looks like you just riced it out. God only knows how you've been driving it.

So, reasonably...you're somewhere between 1700 and 2300. (the averages of the two earlier values) Which is right around 2000. Subtract 10% from that, and you get $1800.

And that's a reasonable market price.
