Aircraft Engine Block

Physics Sounds?
jet aircraft mechanics wearing ear protectors are able to converse with each other because the ear protectors block out the sound of the jet engine. What physics concept would account for this?
Frequency filtering (passive)
or
Selective frequency interference (superposition with a 180 degree shift) - (active)

Aircraft Propulsion $104.5 Aircraft Propulsion is an engineering textbook written for students in aerospace and mechanical engineering. The book covers aircraft gas turbine engine and rocket propulsion from its basic principles to more advanced treatments in engine components. Propulsion system integration with aircraft plays an important role in understanding propulsion and is thus addressed in the book. Extensive review material and derivations are intended to help students navigate through the subject with more ease. Over 100 examples and 300 problems are designed to practice the principles learned in jet propulsion and compliment learning through applications. In every engine component, issues related to manufacturing, material properties, temperature limitations and cooling are included to give students an appreciation for the broader scope of propulsion engineering than just aero-thermodynamics. Component matching and off-design analysis is detailed in a separate chapter to provide the physical and performance linkage between the components and their impact on aircraft engines. Principles of chemical rocket propulsion are presented in the context of single-stage to orbit propulsion needs of a rocket-based combined cycle vehicle. The broad treatment of the gas turbine engine cycles and components makes the book suitable as a reference for propulsion and turbomachinery engineers, gas turbine industry and professional development courses. |

The 14 M.P.H. Cooler - yup, a cooler with an engine. Not your typical gadget but still quite amusing to us so it makes the grade. Grab your favorite six pack and load it up for on the go drinking for close to a mere $500.
As the name implies the 14 M.P.H. Cooler goes up to 14MPH. It’s powered by a 500-watt electric motor. You can drive this baby up to 15 miles on a single charge, transporting with you in the insulated bin up to two six packs and a block of ice. The frame of this scooter is built from aircraft aluminum and the variable throttle looks to provide a riding experience similar to that of a golf cart.
And in case you don’t have a spot for your favorite beer there’s a cup holder located between the driver’s knees which opens to provide access to beverages inside the cooler as you zip along.

God provided Manna for the Jews when they were hungry.
God allowed a 14-year old kid named David to slay the most fearsome warrior the world has ever know.
God protected Daniel when he was cast into the Lion's den.
God protected the three when Jews when they were cast into the fiery furnace.
Do you REALLY think a motorized cooler falls into the same category as the heavenly miracles???
Me too!
