Cylinder Heads Pistons
I have a set of 76cc cylinder heads on a chevy 350, how many thousandths would I shave to get them to 64cc?
They're goin on a 355 w/ standard overbore piston. I'm pretty sure it's 8.5:1 Comp right now or 8:1 with the 76cc head. I'm tryin to get the compression up a little. The cam I'm running has a .488 lift"
Just tell the machine shop you bring it into to get it milled what you want done.

H22a cylinder head and cylinder block cranking pistons
how do i clean the head of a piston?
im replacing the head gasket, its my first time doing this, and i found there is a lot of burned oil on top of the pistons (because they are spotted black/charred) when i removed the cylinder head. how do i clean the top of the pistons without taking the engine block apart and also without damaging the pistons/cylinder?
Sounds like you have some mileage in your car. There shouldn't be any build up on your pistons. You may scrape any loose buildup but don't worry about the color. Check your combustion chambers also for carbon build up. you may have leaky rings and/or leaking valve stem seals. BTW what make and year car are you talking about?
