Cylinder Ring Rebuild

will running a 2 stroke engine with poorly seated piston rings and blow by cause more problems?
I have a 1972 T250J suzuki two stroke motorcycle and I just have the crank rebuild with new seals but the mechanic says the piston rings aren't seating properly and there is scuffing on the cylinder walls that will cause blowby. If I ride it anyway aside from a loss of compression could it cause more problems and what kind?
it isn't going to perform
It will have poor starting and will eventually give up the ghost. risking the psiton rings snapping and then breaking up and entering the crank bearings and that would be the end of the rebuilt crank.. So wasting even more money
get it rebored and a new piston

Does this sound like a bad piston ring?
I was told the car had a bad valve on the #2 cylinder causing it to idle rough, so I pulled the heads and had them rebuilt, then reinstalled them. I can't get the car to start now (not sure why) but I noticed that the #2 cylinder compression is only 30 psi. Can I assume that the ring on this cylinder is bad? 1986 Pontiac 6000 STE, 2.8L MPFI V6.
Oh yeah, I was really careful with the pushrods. They're in the right places. Could this be a lifter problem?
did you put the push rods in the right place?the 2.8l have two different size push rods.yes it could be a lifter problem.i would check on number 2 to make sure you dont have the pushrods backwards.
