Electric Turn Slip

Double oven interior oven lights will not illuminate from the control panel selector switch. Why?

I have an electric double oven. My wife was replacing the bulb on the bottom oven with an incorrectly sized bulb which slipped into the light socket and caused a spark. I installed the correct size bulb, but now I can not turn on the oven lights via the control panel. The only way the bulbs illuminate now is when the oven door is opened. I looked into the lower oven light socket and can see burn marks. Does it make sense that the bulbs for both oven will light when the oven door is opened, and not from the control panel on/off selector switch? I've turned off the oven breaker to try to reset the control panel, but it didn't make a difference.

I'm afraid it sound like the problem is with the oven control. When your wife tried to put in the wrong bulb, it shorted that circuit on the control. The only way to really fix it would be to replace the control ($$$). The only good part is that it only affected the part that controls the lights. I wish I had a better solution for you.

homemade vibrator????????

ok, so my friend wants me to make a homemade vibrator for his gf. he knows im good w/ electronics, and he refuses to go buy one for fear of someone seeing him. so he gave me one of his old cigar tubes. i sanded all the paint off and made it smooth. and i found an electric motor with a weight on it to make it vibrate.. one problem, when i turn it on to make it vibrate, the motor weight hits the side of the tube and gets stuck. how can i secure it in place? also, how can i take the weights off of another motor and slip them on a smaller one? or is there something else i can use for a weight? thanks!
he's payin me 20 bucks to do this.

if he is too embarrassed to buy one odds are he will be too embarrassed to use it on her and i'm sure she will be embarrassed knowing you made it for him.
