Engine Oil Additive

is anyone farmiliar with molybdenum as a motorcross oil additive?

i see in my manual for a crf250 that i can use this oil on the engine side but not the tranny. i see on the internet its molybdenum sulphide which supposedly reducing friction on moving parts. i take it the concern is with slipping gears in the tranny then. and would this be a good choice for my engine oil

no. but i have heard that if you put ground up aluminum foil in the oil it is very good for something....i forget what tho.

Oil Additives



What is the product name for the engine additive for high mileage engines to be coated with teflon?

It used to be about $50 a quart & you put it in with clean oil, run it forxxx number of miles, drain & put new oil etc in. I need it and can't recall the name! (First thing to go??)

You are likely thinking of Slick 50.
Your car was designed to be lubricated by oil, not Teflon. Adding the stuff will do nothing it may in fact hurt the engine.
