What kind of paint can I get to make "thick" images or writing on hard finishes, like metal or fabric?

I want to paint on plates, paper and fabric giving a more dramatic heavy effect, without applying several coats. Especially I would like to do this on a metal serving tray. But what paint is best and how can I get it thick enough, without getting "bumpy"?

One Shot lead-based enamel paint...but it will obviously render your plates as just 'decorative'...due to lead content.
Good for glass, wood, metal, on an outdoor canvas banner...is weather proof and, as name indicates, ONE coat = all that is necessary.
Paint will be glossy and resillient and brightly colored--and last basically forever.

Is traditionally used for signage but can be used to paint pretty much anything. Use solvent to clean brushes and work in well ventillated area.

If you're looking to paint on wearable fabric or paper, use acrylics. You can add an acrylic gel medium to alter texture of the acrylic paint. Is water soluble. Wash brushes in COLD water so paint doesn't 'bake' into root sof brush bristols--thus, ruining the brush.

The heat shield for the K&N FIPK?

I had bought one of these used off ebay. I had finished cleaning it, and noticed that the heat shield doesnt have that pleather fabric around it. Its just a metal bent shield. Is it still usefull? Or is the shield in the fabric?

the heat shild is still usefull, dont' discard.
