Good Wireless Intercom Systems?

Hi,

I'm looking for a wireless intercom system so that I can talk to my cycling pal on the go. I know you can buy headsets for motorcyclists so I'm planning on getting one of those - but which type? I've done some research but they don't give you much information. For example I want the audio-line-in feature so that both my mate and I can listen to music or the radio etc - and not all of them do this. The ones that do aren't clear on whether its just one person or both people that can hear the music.

So does anybody know some good intercom systems that have good sound quality and have the audio-in feature for both riders to listen to?

But to answer your question directly, some of the Bluetooth intercoms will do what you want. You want an intercom with two channels. The first channel is used to communicate with an audio device like a Bluetooth enabled cell phone, GPS, or music player. If you have an iPhone that would be the same device for music and phone. The second channel is used for intercom purposes to communicate with your buddy.

Now both of you will not be able to listen to the same music source. You'll each have your own music, but will be able to talk on the second intercom channel. These units typically only have a range of a few hundred feet, but you won't likely be riding that far apart anyway.
