In the U.S., Aircraft Maintenance Technicians usually refer to themselves as APs, for Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics. The Canadian equivalent of an AMT is an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Separate Financing of Aircraft Engines

Separate Financing of Aircraft Engines

$98.77

Aircraft engines are regarded as the most valuable component part of the aircraft, whereby they can be easily detached from the aircraft and be affixed to another aircraft in a very limited period of time. As a result of aviation practice, engines may be also financed separately than the aircraft. However, considering the extremely movable character of engines, security rights created on engines have been subject to a strong legal debate over the last few years. More specifically the primary issue is how it will be legally possible to protect the title holder of the engine or the creditors rights towards third parties. This book analyses the legal difficulties in creating security rights on engines with great focus on the application of the accession rule to engines, whereby the title to the aircraft might be extended to the engine as soon as it will be attached to the aircraft. It should be noted that in this book, the legal status of aircraft engines have been analyzed in the light of three jurisdictions; namely German, Dutch and Turkish as well as in regard to international conventions regarding security rights in aircraft. Flight Engineer Training: Aircraft Performance

Flight Engineer Training: Aircraft Performance

$62.89

This manual outlines required material for all phases of aircraft performance. It is a source document for the basic flight engineer course. It directs new flight engineers in learning the technical language and practical application related to flight. It furnishes the experienced flight engineers with background and review information. The aircraft performance technology presented in this manual is not limited to one specific airframe. For the most part, the technical language, performance charts, and procedures are common to all transport aircraft. There are two major factors that are responsible for the differences. These are a specific aircrafts design and the way different aircraft performance procedures to support that design. These factors may make a given performance limitation critical for one aircraft and insignificant for another. The material contained in this manual provides information relative to the duties of the flight engineer, the atmosphere, aerodynamics, power plants, weight and balance, and aircraft flight performance. It also includes guidelines for mission planning.
