AP test prep book questions?

I have decided, after my poor performance on this year's AP tests, to study for AP tests in the summer using AP test prep books from companies such as REA, Princeton REview, Cliffs, Barron's, etc. The tests I will be taking are American Government, English Literature, Chemistry, Biology, and Calculus AB. For each subject, which company should I buy a test prep book from? Please take into account that I will be doing most of my review before I take the AP course, so the books need to be able to give me a general knowledge of the course without much prior knowledge. Also, feel free to recommend a book from companies that I did not list above. Thank you so much. Also, please tell me why you recommend the books you recommend.

Here are my recommendations and a general consensus among many other people:

US Government: Princeton Review (I actually used Cliffs though and thought it was good since it was thorough and had pretty accurate practice tests)
English Literature: Barrons (I used it, it was really good, MC is a little harder than the real thing, but gives a very good overview of Lit Terms, Poetry, etc)
Chemistry: Barrons (if you want basically a thorough textbook) or Princeton Review (if you want a quick run through)
Biology: Cliffs (supposed to be VERY good and thorough)
Calculus AB: Princeton Review (I used it for BC... well, kinda of looked at it and it is a good review)
